Why a release is still processing
Store review times and common hold-ups.
A release moves through delivery to BASSMA, then to each store, then through that store's own review. The Delivery Log on the release shows which stage each store is at.
Normal timing
Stores review on their own schedule and none of them publish a guaranteed time. Larger services are usually quick; smaller ones can take considerably longer. Stores also go live at different moments, so a release being on Spotify but not yet on Apple Music is expected rather than a fault.
Common hold-ups
- Artwork that breaks the rules above — this is the most frequent cause.
- Metadata mismatches, such as a featured artist in the title but not in the credits.
- A cover or remix without documented permission.
- An ISRC that is already registered to a different rights holder.
- A release date set too close to the delivery date for the store to process.
When to ask
If a store has shown no movement well past your release date, and the Delivery Log shows no rejection reason, open a ticket with the release title and UPC. BASSMA can query the store directly.
Anghami is delivered separately, over DDEX. It has its own timing and appears in the DDEX section rather than the standard store list.
