Blocking a platform
Requesting a takedown for a specific service.
A blocklist request removes a release from a specific store while leaving it live everywhere else.
Reasons to block
- An exclusivity agreement that excludes one service.
- A rights dispute confined to one territory or platform.
- A licensing term that does not cover a particular store.
Making the request
Open a support ticket naming the release and the platforms to remove it from. Removal is not immediate — each store processes takedowns on its own schedule, and some cache content for a period after removal.
Taking a release down and putting it back later usually loses its stream count and playlist placements on that store. Treat a full takedown as permanent, and block a single platform rather than pulling everything where you can.
